We’ve been appointed by Richard and Nicola to explore the potential of their Victorian cottage in Checkley. The property sits in a spectacular elevated position within the Woolhope Dome – a remarkable geological feature offering panoramic views across the Herefordshire countryside.

Initial discussions focus on extending and upgrading the existing cottage to create a family home that captures the drama of this hilltop setting whilst responding to the established tree planting and natural landscape character.

The site’s location on the edge of the Wye Valley AONB demands a sensitive design approach that enhances rather than detracts from this beautiful rural landscape.
